Jess has been looking after exotic animals for the past 15 years. After working in a nursery and receiving her NVQ level 2 and 3 in child care she decided she wanted to combine her love of working with children and fascination with animals. Starting out small by doing parties for family members friends she became encouraged to grow the business after seeing how captivated and engaged the children were. In 2016 with help from her sister Lucy, Jess decided to set up Jungle Juniors and expand the business to other areas. It has continued to grow prompting Josh to join in 2018.
Lucy has been working with exotic animals since the age of 16 and keeping them for even longer. After leaving school she studied Animal Management at college and received a level 3 extended diploma, whilst also working at an exotic pet specialist. She then went on to complete a NVQ level 3 in childcare and worked at a nursery for almost three years. Since then Lucy has gone back to working with animals including dogs and horses and has recently set up her own doggy daycare centre with her partner Josh, called 'The Shepherd Shed' in St Albans alongside Jungle Juniors.
Josh has been keeping and working with exotic animals for 14 years, he has a particular fascination with Anacondas and other large snakes. He loves sharing his enthusiasm and admiration for animals with young people in a hope to inspire them to care about conservation in the future.
